About Across the Miles

A little closer, every day.

Our story began thousands of miles apart.

I'm Ethan, the founder of Across the Miles. And like many of the couples who find their way here, I know what it's like to fall for someone who lives far beyond the reach of an ordinary goodnight kiss.

My girlfriend, Sanya, lives in Brazil, while I live in the United States.

Our relationship crosses countries, languages, cultures, and time zones. Sometimes that means figuring out when we can talk. Sometimes it means learning a new Portuguese phrase just to make her smile. And sometimes it means wishing that the person on the other side of the screen could simply be sitting beside you.

But somewhere between our conversations, shared songs, little surprises, and dreams about the future, I've come to appreciate something important:

Distance changes how you love, but it doesn't have to limit how deeply you connect.

The inspiration behind Across the Miles

When Sanya and I started building our relationship, I found myself looking for ways to make the distance feel a little smaller.

Not just through messages or video calls, but through meaningful conversations, thoughtful activities, shared experiences, and memories we could create together even while living in different countries.

I wanted us to keep discovering new things about each other. To make ordinary days feel special. To celebrate the little milestones and build something meaningful while looking forward to the moments we could eventually share in person.

That desire became the inspiration for Across the Miles.

What began as something personal grew into an idea I wanted to share with other couples facing the same challenges.

Made for your version of together

Every relationship is different.

Some couples are separated by a few hours of driving. Others live across oceans. Some are navigating different languages and cultures, while others are balancing school, careers, family, or uncertain timelines.

But the desire underneath it all is remarkably similar: to feel loved, understood, appreciated, and connected.

Across the Miles creates thoughtful digital tools to help couples nurture that connection, wherever they happen to be.

From conversation starters that reveal something new about your partner to creative date ideas, relationship journals, and meaningful keepsakes, everything is designed around one simple belief:

Being apart shouldn't mean putting your relationship on hold.

Thoughtful tools for real relationships

I don't believe relationships need perfect moments or elaborate gestures to be meaningful.

Sometimes it's a thoughtful question after a long day. A surprise date planned across two time zones. Learning a few words in your partner's language. Or saving a memory that you know you'll want to revisit years from now.

Our digital products are designed to make those moments easier to create.

They're flexible, approachable, and made for real people building real relationships. Many include printable PDFs or digital editions you can use wherever you are.

Use them at your own pace. Make them your own. What matters isn't completing every page or answering every question perfectly.

It's discovering more reasons to choose each other, day after day.

From our story to yours

Sanya and I are still writing our own story. We have places we hope to go, experiences we want to share, and a future we're excited to explore together.

We don't have every answer to the challenges of long-distance love. We're learning as we go, just like so many other couples.

And that's exactly why Across the Miles exists.

It's a collection of small, meaningful ways to make the distance easier, the conversations deeper, and the moments together more memorable.

Whether you're separated by a city, a country, or an ocean, I hope something here helps you feel a little closer to the person you love.

Two people. Different places. One story worth building.

With love,

Ethan
